The Friends of the Little Log Church & Museum have taken on the task of raising $100,000 for the rebuilding of The Little Log Church & Museum. Our 90 year old treasured gem of Yachats has suffered the elements for many years and will have to be replaced due to the deterioration and the many new building codes. It will be less expensive to rebuild than to repair.
The Little Log Church & Museum has been held dear to the hearts of our community as well as to the many visitors from all over the country and around the world. The many weddings, Valentine Vow renewals, October blessing of pets in the garden, mini-concerts and other special events have special meaningful treasured memories for the many who have chosen to have their special event there.
It is our goal to maintain the aura and ambience the inside of this precious place has always had. The interior will be constructed as close as possible to what it is today with the same wonderful acoustics and spiritual feeling. The exterior will have changes that will enhance the ability of being able to ward off the elements much better than they currently do. The roof line will be constructed so as to enable a much better flow of the elements and will enhance the overall appearance of the structure. The face of the building will be constructed with materials that are able to withstand the sometimes severe weather conditions of the Oregon Coast.
